A personalised programme to evolve, deepen, refine
With Francesca d’Errico · BWY, E-RYT and CE
Yoga teacher training courses in the West almost never require entry prerequisites, which are in fact essential for teaching with awareness. Teachers enter the profession with gaps that, over time, lead to difficulties, a sense of inadequacy and burnout.
That is why a mentoring programme becomes not only an added value, but a necessary support for managing your own growth as a yoga practitioner and teacher.
Three areas of focus
Focused sessions with clear goals
Asana and pranayama: technique and anatomy
The meaning and purpose of the asanas, the musculoskeletal actions of each posture and transition, preparatory exercises for advanced postures, verbal cues and hands-on assists. The pranayama techniques best suited to your classes, in light of the latest neuroscience research.
Yoga history and philosophy
Making sense of dual and non-dual Yoga and understanding the foundational texts (Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita) as well as historical and contemporary ones, from the Upanisads to Krishnamacharya’s Yoga Makaranda, to tell what truly belongs to Yoga from what is contamination from other cultures. With an introduction to Sanskrit, to use Yoga’s original language in today’s classes.
Class management consulting
Effective sequences for practitioners of every level, asana modifications for specific needs, support for students with musculoskeletal conditions in group and individual lessons. And more: understanding your own positioning and market value, and negotiating with the owners of centres, studios and gyms.
