Traditional Ashtanga Yoga in Maremma
Authentic, Effective, Accessible
An authentic path, a practice for everyone
With devotion, heart and passion always.
Ashtanga Yoga is a dynamic and powerful yoga method originating in the city of Mysore, India, developed by Master Sri T. Krishnamacharya and codified by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, who, along with his nephew Sharath Jois, contributed to its worldwide diffusion. Based on precise sequences of poses (asanas) connected by fluid transitions (vinyasa), it unites movement and breath, becoming a meditation in action. The practice follows a specific order that develops strength, flexibility, and concentration, helping to purify body and mind. Ashtanga is suitable for everyone: beginners, experienced practitioners, and anyone seeking a structured yet adaptable approach. Consistent practice means building inner discipline and profound well-being, day after day.
“Don't wait for the perfect moment. Start your practice today.”
My Practice
I began practicing Ashtanga Yoga in 1998, after a long trip to India that changed my life. I was living in London at the time and was fortunate enough to discover this discipline at Ashtanga Yoga London, under the guidance of Hamish Hendry, a teacher certified by Guruji Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.
Over the years, I've deepened my study by traveling to Mysore, India, studying philosophy and chanting, and practicing around the world with teachers connected to the origins of the tradition and its last Paramaguru, Sharath Jois. Among them, I'm particularly grateful to Susanna Finocchi, a certified teacher at the Sharath Yoga Centre, and Martina Cova, a physiotherapist and teacher, with whom I've deeply explored the relationship between practice and anatomy.
In addition to teaching, I have contributed to the diffusion of Yoga by translating various texts for OM Edizioni and, in 2017, I published my first book, Tracce di Yoga, available on Amazon and in bookstores.
Today I teach in the heart of Maremma, in Gavorrano (Grosseto), pursuing a practice that is faithful to tradition, yet open and accessible to everyone, from beginners to expert practitioners.

An intense, but always gentle practice
Ashtanga Yoga, for me, is a meditation in motion, a silent dialogue between breath, body, and mind. Each class is a gradual journey that respects your pace and capabilities, regardless of your experience level. In this safe space, you can grow, listen to yourself, and discover new inner resources, step by step, supported by a careful and respectful approach.
My approach: tradition and an open heart
I teach in Gavorrano, in the heart of Maremma, following the traditional method passed down by my teachers, enriched by an inclusive and welcoming approach. I believe that Ashtanga Yoga is not a competition, but a inner journey where the goal isn't a perfect position, but rather the awareness that arises from the journey. Each practice thus becomes an experience of growth and personal discovery, on and off the mat.
An invitation to self-discovery
In my studio, time slows down and practice becomes a refuge for body and mind. We cultivate presence, strength, and serenity, learning that Ashtanga isn't about "doing more," but to be moreMore aware, more grounded, more free. Here, the energy of tradition intertwines with individual listening, offering you a space to reconnect with yourself and bring balance to your everyday life.
