About
Francesca d’Errico
Ashtanga Yoga teacher in Gavorrano, in Maremma. I have practised since 1998 and taught since 2004.
My path
I began practising Ashtanga Yoga in 1998, after a long journey to India that changed my life. At the time I was living in London and I was fortunate to discover this discipline at Ashtanga Yoga London, under the guidance of Hamish Hendry, a teacher certified by Guruji Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.
Over the years I deepened my studies by travelling to Mysore, India, where I practised Ashtanga Yoga with Saraswathi and with Sharath Jois, the last Paramaguru of the tradition, and studied chanting with Dr M.A Jayashree, Sanskrit with Lakshmish Bath and philosophy with Arvind Pare. I have also practised around the world with teachers linked to the origins of the tradition.
I have taught Ashtanga Yoga since 2004, after completing a training course with the British Wheel of Yoga and obtaining a Yoga Alliance International certification. My studies continue: every year I attend seminars, workshops and study periods in Italy, Europe, the USA and India, to keep the authenticity of the Mysore method alive.
Today I teach in the heart of Maremma, in Gavorrano (Grosseto), carrying on a practice that is faithful to tradition yet open and accessible to everyone, from beginners to experienced practitioners.
